Originally from Australia, I am a designer & artist now working from my seaside studio in the lovely village of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales.
I hand make jewellery showcasing my exclusive, ceramic beads that I hand craft and then kiln fire. My beads have a glossy, opulent surface and tend to reflect the colours of the ocean and my surrounding environment - lots of greens, blues, turquoise and tans.
Like small, precious treasures these beads are based on the 5000 yr old Ancient Egyptian technique called faience, which essentially means they are self glazing due to the oxides and base materials in my recipes. I combine these beads with other materials such as sterling silver, stainless steel and linen thread; resulting in individual and truly desirable pieces.
